Generator caught fire at a residence on Clinton Avenue. Thanks to the quick reactions of Assistant Chief Gibson who held the fire in check until Engine 51 arrived. The home suffered no damage. The generator was a total loss.

Structure fire at 8:02 this morning. Upon arrival of E51 the right side of the building had flames and heavy smoke showing. E51s crew began fire knock down. E52, E53, along with Appalachia Fire would respond to assist in the suppression of the fire. Combined efforts of BSGFD and AFD would save the left apartment with minimum amounts of smoke damage. The right apartment is a total loss.

Structure Fire on Cumberland Avenue. 3 Alarm fire that started on the C Side of the structure in the "Sun Room" Gutted this single story home. Appalachia and Valley Fire Departments were called to assist with suppression of this fire. No one was injured.

Structure Fire at Powell Valley Vet Hospital. Started in the HVAC System. Building was saved with damage to the roof and front of the building.

BSGFD was alerted to a MVA involving a semi-truck that had lost control and flipped at the intersection of Dogwood and Gilley. The driver was extricated from the truck and took to LPH. The accident took out the traffic light as well.

Structure Fire-Wood Avenue. BSGFD responded to a working fire in a residence. BSGPD knocked fire down in a bedroom with a fire extinguisher. Engine 51 and 52 responded and finished suppressing the fire. Minimum damage done to the fire room. FD ventilated the house of smoke.

Structure Fire-5th Avenue East. Engine 51 and Engine 53 responded to reported vacant house on fire. Upon arrival E51 began defensive fire operations to protect surrounding exposures. Roof collapse and C side wall were already compromised. Valley Fire was dispatched as second due for man power. Downed power lines made suppression difficult until ODP cut the power. Homes on both side of the fire building suffered heat damage but never caught fire. An estimated 40,000 gallons of water was used to suppress the fire.

Structure Fire- East 5th Street North, The structure was abandoned and fully engulfed when reported to BSGFD. BSGFD responded with Engine 51, 52, 53 and called Appalachia and Valley for assistance. The fire building was a total loss and it took a full effort from all 3 departments to protect the exposures on two sides of the building and bring the fire under control.
